I wasn’t even sure if I should write this, but something happened this week that I cannot keep to myself. If you’ve been following along, you know I’ve been going through a season of transition.

This past week during Spring Break, something happened that reminded me just how real God is—and just how closely He’s been listening.

Life Lately: The Calm + the Chaos

Spring Break has been sweet—lazy mornings with the kids, no alarm clocks, just rest. But even in the quiet, my mind has been anything but still.

I’ve been feeling overwhelmed with all the directions I could go in with my brand and blog. So many ideas. So much purpose. But no clarity on what to do next.

So I decided to stop spinning. I sat down and prayed. I meditated. I asked God to make it clear—crystal clear—which direction I should take next.

The Check Engine Light + a Choice

The very next day, I got in my car… and boom—check engine light.

😩 Normally, this would’ve sent me over the edge. But this time was different.

I took a breath. I leaned into peace instead of panic. And I said to myself:

“God has carried me this far—He’s got this too.”

That was already a victory in itself. But what happened next?

Whew. I still have chills.

The Prayer for a Sign

When I prayed the night before, I didn’t just ask for a vague sign. I asked for something specific. I asked God:

“If I’m supposed to take this next step, show me a purple bow.”

Something random. Something undeniable.

I’ve never prayed like that before. Never asked for something so out-there. But I did it anyway. And God showed up.

The Purple Bow in My Cart

Later that day, my daughter and I walked into Publix. I grabbed a cart, started walking, and there it was—a purple bow sitting right there in the cart.

Just… waiting for me.

I froze. My daughter saw it too.

I couldn’t believe it.

It was the exact sign I asked for.

Not a coincidence.

Not a maybe.

God answered me. Loud and clear.

My Takeaway: Let God Lead

That purple bow reminded me of one simple truth: God hears you.

He’s not just watching from afar.

He’s walking with you, listening, guiding, and confirming—even in the middle of Publix.

So here’s where I am: Whatever I build next—my blog, my brand, my story—God has to take the lead.

I don’t have all the answers, and honestly, I don’t need to.

The same God who made a way last year is the same God who’s about to open doors this year.

Even if I don’t know what’s wrong with my car, even if I don’t have all the steps figured out, I know who’s holding the map.

“Don’t let the worries of tomorrow steal the joy of today. Trust the God who’s already there.”
